Symbio has recently secured a contract for the renovation of the watch tower at Cannes Airport
This renovation consists of re-designing the operational furniture in its environment without modifying the structure of the building. The objective is to obtain substantial gains concerning mainly the general layout of the lookout for the positioning of workstations with their constraints of visibility and comfort of use, the ergonomics of all furniture and the integration of materials, and increasing the workspace for controllers.
Leveraging our SymLab Virtual Reality (VR) workspace design software, the participatory redesign of furniture and spaces will include active input from air traffic controllers, optimizing ergonomics within SymLab based on operational insights gathered at the initial stages of the study. The project is scheduled to kick off in 2024.
