Following their ergonomic study of ELIA's control room in November 2014, Namahn and Symbio get a contract for the re-design of the room.

This includes a new control room layout, new layouts for a crisis room and some offices annexed to the control room, and meeting and crisis rooms on another floor. The definition of the layouts will be deeply integrated with security analyses conducted by ELIA. The study also entails the determination of the best shape and position for the large synoptic display, the definition and design of the information content of that display, as well as the study of lighting, HVAC and finishings for all rooms under concern.
